Our ZENDO Rope Social is a regular gathering for people from Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, and the surrounding area,
who want to discover, practice, or share their enthusiasm for rope bondage such as Shibari, Kinbaku, or Japanese-inspired bondage.
Whether you’re new to rope, have years of experience, or are somewhere in between, we’re here to tie, practice, observe, connect, and meet other rope enthusiasts.

Our ZENDO - rope bondage meeting takes place on the last Saturday of the month on average and is open to all enthusiasts who practice or want to learn about any kind of rope bondage (Shibari, Kinbaku, Western-Style etc.).
EVERYONE - with enthusiasm, interest and/or passion for rope - is welcome!
We want everyone to feel comfortable and safe with us, and for this place to create a space where one can discover oneself. (*)

It is important to us that beginners and newcomers in particular do not feel excluded, because iThe best way to learn is through practical experience and from experienced riggers, i.e., "rope handlers." If you have any concerns, simply contact us and clarify them beforehand. We've all experienced our "first time" and remember exactly what reservations we had about attending such an event.

Zendo is a Japanese term for "meditation room," which, in a broader sense, refers to a space for practitioners and those who practice there. We understand our Zendo as an open, active, and creative (practice) space that thrives as a place for exchange and shared learning from and with the ropes. Tolerance, mindfulness, and respect form the foundation of this space!
It is our aim that friends and enthusiasts of different rope bondage styles feel accepted and comfortable, regardless of their level of knowledge, intention, gender or body shape - whether individual or couple = We stand for Diversity in Ropes!
Sakura ZENDO offers you a meeting place to exchange ideas in a friendly and family atmosphere, to practice, to let the ropes flow, to be inspired by the bondage of others, and to take new impressions home with you.

To accommodate every style of bondage, depending on the number of registrations, you will have five (up to a maximum of 12) different suspension options available on the bamboo and ring, as well as four (up to a maximum of 9) Hashira's and space for all types of floor ties.

Our ZENDO, with its inviting ambiance, sound system with fitting background music, and charming decorations, creates a captivating and sensual atmosphere. A comfortable chill-out area invites you to relax, exchange ideas with fellow rope enthusiasts, and forge new connections or even friendships.
Your refreshments will be provided with a small selection of drinks (for a small fee) and a candy/snack bar for an energy boost in between.
RopeExchange
Before the "ZENDO" rope meetup, we regularly invite you to an open exchange! Beginners and experienced practitioners alike can discuss different techniques, safety, artists, or the cultural background. We share our experience and knowledge, offer guidance, and discuss different technical approaches.
True to the saying, "There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers," you’re welcome to bring up anything about Shibari that’s been on your mind.

This exchange is especially suitable for beginners, whether active or passive, who want to explore the subject beyond technique. We also particularly welcome people who take the passive role or would like to learn more about it.
This format may also suit neurodivergent people who would like to ease in with a smaller group, get a feel for the atmosphere, and/or make some initial connections.

At the rope meetup that follows, the focus shifts to tying, observing, and finding inspiration.

We place great importance on the safety and wellbeing of everyone attending the rope meetup. We ask all participants to treat one another with respect and consideration, helping create a space where everyone feels safe and comfortable. We are LGBTQIA+-friendly, neurodiversity-friendly, and committed to inclusion.
Guidelines
Consent and mutual respect are very important to us. We foster open communication, where everyone can clearly express their boundaries and wishes. All guests are expected to respect the boundaries and wishes of others. Harassment and any other violation of explicit consent (only yes means yes) will not be tolerated. We recommend familiarising yourself with the

By attending the event, you expressly agree to the house rules, code of conduct/netiquette, and the legal notices they contain, and undertake to comply with them. Remember, we’re all here to have a good time together and look out for one another. Anyone disrupting the event or disregarding the rules will be removed immediately and permanently!

Our Zendo is ideally located off the B10 and close to the A8 and B27, making it easy to get here by car. Free parking is available right by the building, in the immediate area and on the parallel street.
The nearest bus stop is just a 5-minute walk away. From there, it's only a short ride to Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen or Stuttgart-Feuerbach stations, as well as Ludwigsburg. Our Zendo is also ideally located for anyone travelling by public transport.

€20 per person (plus €5 per person for Rope Exchange, if applicable)

#Waitlist means that we've reached the maximum number of guests for this event. At this time, registrations can only be confirmed if someone cancels. In our experience, however, people do cancel, especially during cold and flu season. So we recommend joining the waitlist anyway. If a spot opens up, you may be able to claim it at short notice. Just be patient!!!
Please understand that we also aim to maintain a balanced mix of attendees.
