RopeLab Rope Students
Shibari Workshops & thematische Vertiefun
Shibari workshops with greater depth for an intensive exploration of aa specific topic.
In RopeLab, we focus on a clearly defined topic and take the time to present or develop it in a structured manner and with the necessary depth. This can involve deepening our understanding of already familiar content as well as learning new techniques, patterns (tying patterns), or subject areas.
Two formats, one claim.
RopeLab is offered as a Study Group and as a Deep Dive. Both formats focus on a specific topic and are structured. They differ primarily in how we work on it together.
.
1 | Study Group
In our study groups, we typically dedicate over three hours to a specific topic. We provide the framework and structure, present the relevant content, and then continue working on it together as a group. This creates space for questions, discussion, and practical application.
The Study Group thrives on collaborative learning: We work as a group on the same topic, exchange ideas, and also benefit from the questions and experiences of others.
2 | Deep Dive
A deep dive allows for an even more intensive exploration of a topic. We guide you through the subject in a structured way, building the content in a comprehensible manner and presenting it step by step. The longer timeframe allows for practical application and expanded variations that are often neglected in a standard course format.
A deep dive can deal with a familiar topic as well as with a new bondage technique, method, or subject area.
What topics are covered in the RopeLab?
What unites all RopeLabs is not a specific level or technique, but the ambition to not just touch upon a topic, but to truly explore it in depth. We can examine a single knot in detail, work intensively on a technique, or dedicate ourselves to a topic that doesn't receive sufficient attention in our regular courses.
For example:
- Restraint patterns (e.g., hands-in-front or chest-free harnesses)
- technical basics
- Positioning and body mechanics
- Floorwork
- suspension
- Transitions / Katas
- aesthetic aspects
- Dynamics and tension
- specific Shibari concepts / styles
Who is RopeLab suitable for?
RopeLab is aimed at people who want to specifically expand their knowledge and skills in Shibari and delve deeply into a particular topic. The required prior knowledge depends on the specific topic and is therefore clearly stated for each RopeLab course. You don't need to have mastered every detail of the subject already. What's crucial is that your existing knowledge matches the requirements of the course. A look inside It's worth checking out the specific job posting: there you'll find a detailed description of what it's about and what prior knowledge you should have.
