Der Workshop richtet sich an Shibari-Praktizierende, die Interesse an körperlich fordernden, strukturierten und achtsam geführten Spielsituationen haben. Alle Rollen sind willkommen.
Wir legen großen Wert auf Sicherheit, Konsens und klare Kommunikation. Der Workshop ersetzt keine fundierte Shibari-Ausbildung, sondern vermittelt Grundlagen und Denkansätze für verantwortungsvolle Predicaments.
Ein respektvoller Umgang, informierter Konsens und die Wahrung individueller Grenzen haben jederzeit oberste Priorität.

⚠️  WICHTIGER HINWEIS/ TRIGGERWARNUNG:
Im Rahmen des Workshops werden Seile auch im Hals-/Nackenbereich eingesetzt. Dies erfordert erhöhte Aufmerksamkeit, Achtsamkeit und ein verantwortungsvolles Handeln. Der Workshop richtet sich ausschließlich an Teilnehmende, die sich der besonderen Verantwortung und damit verbundenen Risiken bewusst sind.
Die Zugangsvorraussetzungen schließen daher komplette Einsteiger von der Teilnahme aus. Wir behalten uns vor, entsprechende "Eignung" nach unserem Risikoprofil und präventiven Lehrstil zu Beginn zu überprüfen.

🤝Dozent/ Teacher:

Mel und Franky von Sakura Rope gehen seit über 15 Jahren gemeinsam durchs Leben und sind seit Beginn ihrer Beziehung fasziniert vom Spiel mit dem Seil.
Als Lehrende vermitteln Sie gemeinsam ihr fundiertes und breit gefächertes Wissen der Fesselkunst als Prozess in beiden Rollenbildern — nicht allein als Technik, sondern als bewusst gestaltetes Ritual von Präsenz, Wahrnehmung und Beziehung.
Im Zentrum ihres Unterrichts stehen die Analyse des Fesselprozesses, die Wechselwirkung von Körper, Raum und Energie sowie die Reflexion von Intimität, Kontrolle und Vertrauen. Technische Inhalte werden stets in größere Zusammenhänge eingebettet, etwa in Bezug auf Anatomie, Risiko- und Konsensmodelle, ästhetische Prinzipien sowie individuelle körperliche Voraussetzungen.
Mel und Franky verfolgen einen bewusst offenen Lern- und Lehransatz und bilden sich kontinuierlich weiter. Sie schöpfen aus einem breiten Fundament an Wissen, das durch regelmäßige Trainings, Workshops und den Austausch mit internationalen Lehrenden/ Künstlern stetig erweitert wird. Prägende Einflüsse stammen unter anderem von Ren Yagami (JPN) und Sarca Martello (ITA) sowie dem Stil um Akira Naka (JPN); seit September 2023 sind sie offizielle Instruktor:innen der Iyasu Ropu-Methode nach Sarca Martello.

Sakura Rope stehen für eine konsensbasierte, diversitätssensible und achtsame Lehrpraxis. Ihre Workshops bieten einen strukturierten, sicheren Lernraum, der individuelle Zugänge ermöglicht und Fesselkunst als sichere Praxis vermittelt.
Ihre Unterrichtsdidaktitk zeichnen sich durch individuelle Begleitung, hohe fachliche Tiefe und nachhaltige Vermittlung aus.

🚀 Level: upper Beginner bis Fortgeschrittenen
Als aktiver Teilnehmer/in; Rigger; Shibarite:
☆ beherrscht du die Basics wie Single-/ Double-Coloumn Tie in verschiedenen Situationen also z.B. an Beinen, Armen, aus verschiedenen Richtungen
☆ bist du mit den gängigen Frictions vertraut
☆ beherrscht du außerdem ein flüssiges / ruhiges RopeHandling
☆ kennst du die sicherheits- sowie anatomischen Grundlagen und dein eigenes Risikoprofil sowie das deines Models (wie viel Risiko bin ich gewillt einzugehen, wie viel Risiko will mein Model eingehen, wo treffen wir uns, welche Absprachen gelten in einem Workshop-Setting)
★ Als Bottom/ passiver Part; Model; Ukete:
☆ kennst du dein eigenes körperliches wie mentales Risikoprofil und die Grenzen deines Körpers in Bezug auf potentielle Gefahren wie Nervenschäden oder Ohnmacht u.ä.
☆ besitzt du genug Erfahrung um dich selbst zu spiegeln und kannst dein Risikoprofil überwachen
☆ hast du mit deinem Fesselparter dein Risikoprofil besprochen

☆ Allen Beteiligten sollten die grundlegenden Sicherheitsregeln und Risiken beim Shibari bekannt sein.

☆☆☆ Der Workshop ist für eine paarweise Teilnahme ausgelegt (dabei spielt das Geschlecht, sexuelle Orientierung und Körperform keine Rolle - wir stehen für Toleranz und Diversität!).
➜ Für einen effektiven Lernerfolg ist ein Wechsel der aktiven/passiven Seite ausgeschlossen!

👗 Dresscode:  Kommt worin ihr Euch wohlfühlt... am besten bequem/ elastisch. Wir bewegen uns ohne Schuhe - daher sind ein paar dicke Socken sicherlich nicht verkehrt!
🪢 Seile: Wir benötigen 3x 8m-Seile Naturfaser (Hanf/Jute) in 5-6mm Durchmesser, je nach persönlicher Präferenz.

Our Shibari Kickstart This is a lovingly designed introductory workshop that provides you with a safe, thorough, and playful introduction to the art of Japanese bondage. Together, we will lay the foundation for a safe and mindful Shibari experience. We will take the time to explain things clearly, demonstrate them, and let you try them out.

• Safety & Responsibility
• How do I treat myself and others with care? How do I recognize boundaries, communicate needs, and build trust?
• Materials science
• What types of ropes are available? Which ones are suitable for beginners? What makes sense – and what doesn't (yet)?
• Basic knots & rope handling
• You will learn essential knots and simple procedures that will give you confidence and make you want to learn more.
• Theoretical input and practical exercises in a balanced ratio
• We'll show you how to get started right, what really matters, and how Shibari can feel easy, creative, and vibrant.
• Individual support and space for questions
• Exercises alone, in pairs, or in changing constellations
• an open, respectful atmosphere in which consent, communication and individual boundaries are always the focus

As an individual, you can first try out everything you've learned on yourself. Additionally, there's the opportunity to practice on-site with other participants. For this, we ask for openness and a willingness to take on both roles – rigger and model – at least once. Of course, this is always voluntary and at your own pace.

A safe, mindful environment -It's important to us to create a space where everyone feels comfortable and safe. It's not about performance, comparison, or perfection, but about learning, experiencing, and exploring. It's also not about being "right," but... honest, curious, and present.

Shibari can be slow. Questioning. Playful. And that's exactly where we begin.

🤝Lecturer/Teacher:

Mel and Franky from Sakura Rope have been together for over 15 years and have been fascinated by the game of rope since the beginning of their relationship.
As instructors, you jointly impart your sound and broad knowledge of the art of rope bondage as a process in both roles — not merely as a technique, but as a consciously designed ritual of presence, perception and relationship.
At the heart of her teaching lies the analysis of the bondage process, the interplay of body, space, and energy, as well as the reflection on intimacy, control, and trust. Technical content is always embedded in broader contexts, such as anatomy, risk and consent models, aesthetic principles, and individual physical capabilities.
Mel and Franky pursue a deliberately open learning and teaching approach and are committed to continuous professional development. They draw on a broad foundation of knowledge, constantly expanded through regular training sessions, workshops, and exchanges with international teachers and artists. Key influences include Ren Yagami (JPN) and Sarca Martello (ITA), as well as the style of Akira Naka (JPN); since September 2023, they have been official instructors of the Iyasu Ropu method according to Sarca Martello.

Sakura Rope stands for a consensus-based, diversity-sensitive, and mindful teaching practice. Their workshops offer a structured, safe learning space that allows for individual approaches and teaches rope bondage as a safe practice.
Their teaching methods are characterized by individual support, high subject-matter depth, and sustainable knowledge transfer.

PS: You have been an integral part of the "Obscene" in Karlsruhe for 5 years, both as an artist and as a lecturer.

👗 Dress code:Come in whatever you feel comfortable in... preferably something comfortable and stretchy. We'll be going barefoot, so thick socks are definitely a good idea!
🪢 Ropes:You don't need your own ropes – practice ropes can be borrowed for the duration of the workshop, allowing you to test different materials and textures. However, you are also welcome to bring your own ropes.
🙏 Seat/ankle support: Please bring a mat (e.g., a yoga mat) and a blanket.
